Prelude
The prelude encourages worshipers to engage in private prayer.
Call to Worship
We start the worship service by God calling us to worship, reminding us all of why we have gathered.
Singing Unto the Lord
The pastor selects hymns and psalms that reinforce the message of the sermon and also that lift up the Triune God. We use songs that are time-tested, focused on God and reverent. Our desire to be brought into the presence of the exalted God by using the voices God gave us to worship Him with all our might.
Confession of Sins
Each Sunday we have a corporate confession of sins with an announcement of assurance of pardon from sin—this is great news for all believers. We strive to use the form of confession sincerely, to acknowledging our brokenness—in thought, word, and deed—and to receive God's forgiveness through Jesus Christ in thankfulness.
Confession of Faith
Each Sunday we have a confession of faith. By reciting this together we are verbalizing the content of our faith and naming that which unites us: our common beliefs.
The Doxology
This is an ancient brief song that praises the Trinitarian nature of God. We sing this each Sunday.
Prayer
The elders and pastor lead in times of prayer. We often pray at this time for specific needs for the congregation, the community, and our country.
Offering
The work in God's kingdom is supported by grateful givers and their tithes, which belong to the Lord.
Scripture Reading
We believe that God's Word is perfect and cannot fail. Thus we seek to saturate our worship with as much of God's Word as possible! Every Sunday service worship will feature many portions of God's Word because it is the Bread of Life.
Sermon
This is an explanation of the Bible verses read and a clear application of those verses to your daily life. The pastor frequently preaches through books of the Bible. The purpose of a sermon is not entertainment but to unfold and apply the eternal message of God.
Benediction
We read a quote from the Bible to give a concluding blessing to the worship service.
